Well, we’re right in the middle of summer, which is festival season; somewhere in the America, pretty much every weekend, is a huge, multi-day, multi-artist festival. After a while, they can blend into each other. One that stands out, though, is Bonnaroo, which features a “superjam” each year.
And few of their superjams were as epic as the one in 2013, when Jim James of My Morning Jacket curated the event with the help of his friend John Oates of Hall & Oates.

With a house band that included members of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Meters drummer Zigaboo Modeliste, they were joined by guest vocalists including Billy Idol, Larry Graham of Graham Central Station and Sly and the Family Stone and R. Kelly.

Hall and Oates are currently on a U.S. tour.
